Full Facial Prosthesis

The full face prosthetic device will provide valuable protection to the skin grafted face and head. It will restore normal symmetry to the face. It includes eyebrows and where applicable beard and/or mustache. It allows the patient to socially interact with a public and return to society as a functioning contributing member, no longer embarrassed by the stares and unwanted attention produced by their differences. It restores the faith and quality in their life and serves as a great psychological benefit in the rehabilitation of the patient.  The prosthesis can easily be worn with a wig.

It is the intent of Custom Prosthetic Designs, Inc., to provide the finest quality, most realistic prosthesis available today.  However, due to the complexity of severe facial burn patients, the prosthesis may not completely fulfill the patient's expectations.  The prosthesis is not designed for eating or drinking.  The number of visits required to complete a full-face prosthesis varies and is determined on a case to case basis.
